Make life easier for any children and animals – and for yourself – by giving them a day with friends or family instead.  You will have enough on your plate looking after:-

• The removals
• Cleaning one if not two properties
  (keep back your cleaning equipment or employ a cleaner)
• Taking meter readings at both houses
• Confirming your financial companies have changed your address
• Liaising with the legal companies
• Finalising keys and the sale/purchase with the estate agent

Contact your new utility companies, including communications providers.  Find tradesmen for any jobs that need doing, change locks for security reasons and notify all important organisations of your new address.  Then relax (possibly!)
